Idella Lane
Mrs. Idella Grant Lane, daughter of the late George Washington and Corinna Snells Grant was born on August 7, 1921 in Rowland, North Carolina. She departed this life on July 18, 2010 at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, North Carolina.
Idella dedicated her life to Jehovah and symbolized it by water baptism on December 16, 1975.
She married the late Henry Lane in August 1940. She had eight children, and was a loving and dedicated mother and homemaker.
She was preceded in death by daughter, Margie Lane; sons, Eddie Lane and Garry Lane; three brothers, three sisters, two nieces and one nephew.
She leaves to mourn: daughters, Cora Andrews (Willie) of Abilene, Texas, Mary Helen Burton and Joyce McCoy (Matthew) of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Gwendolyn Carter (Earl) of Spring Lake, North Carolina; son, Ernest Lane of Fayetteville, North Carolina; two sisters, Novella Underwood and Elnora Waddell; fifteen grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nieces, and other family members, along with one sister-in-law.
